Do i need any type of Id or what do i need to be able to travel on greyhound form state to state?
i have a friend that is going to travel from elko nv to riverside californa and she will start in nv

No, not as long as you stay in the continental U.S. but you would need one to go to Alaska.

You would also need a passport to travel through Canada to Alaska...if you were to go there. However...you REALLY need to have I.D. on you. Carry something that says who you are, and apply for a state I.D. card as soon as you can.

It's best to always travel with identification on you. There may be instances where you will need to prove your identity especially when travelling.
