They can help you try to get from bus-bus-bus-bus-bus until you make it there. The hardest part is making it through Pendleton as I cant remember seeing any buses pass on the freeway through there (city buses that is). I'd do the train route, will save you hours as well. 2 : If you need to be in San Diego 8:30AM then the only way to do it is to drive to San Diego or go the night before.
